PALEOLITHIC DIET
WHAT IS A
PALEOTHIC DIET?
It is a weight loss diet that focuses only on foods that were avaible during the paleolithic era (Stone Age).
People were hunter-gatherers at this time, which meant they hunted all animals and gathered plants from nature.
Although the diet of people in the Paleolithic era varied depending on the geographical region and availability of foods, most Paleolithic diets would have consisted mostly on meats, fruits, nuts and vegetables with a little (or no) cereals, grains or milk products.

The modern version of the Paleolithic diet prohibits some foods, such as sugar, dairy products, grains (including cereals, corn, breads and pasta), potatoes, beans and lentils.
Today, this diet is considered a form of high protein diets, which may pose helath risks because high protein diets stress the consumption of meats and high protein foods that contain saturated fats.

MYTHS OF PALEOLITHIC DIET
YOU CAN NOT EAT EGGS WITHOUT EATING CHOLESTEROL:
There is a common belief that eating eggs raises cholesterol levels in the blood. In fact, the vitamin B choline found in eggs, works as a cholesterol transporter, preventing it from entering the bloodstream.
PALEO DIETS HAVE TOO MUCH PROTEINS:
Protein toxicity is a serious problem that can be caused by the amount of protein in your diet as well as the ratio of protein to carbs and fats. Because your kidneys and liver struggle to convert protein into a useful type of energy, eating too much protein can put a strain on them.
